Naturtint Permanent Hair Colorant is highly unlikely to cause any form of allergic reaction. However, on rare occasions, hair colorant products can cause individuals to suffer sensitivity reactions. It is for this reason that a sensitivity test must be carried out at least 48 hours before coloring the hair. Simply follow these steps:
- Cleanse a small area of skin inside the bend of the elbow with soap and water.
- In a plastic or glass container, mix a capful of Naturtint Permanent Hair Colorant and Color Developer then apply with a
cotton swab.
- Allow to dry and leave untouched for 48 hours. Use the remaining mixture to carry out the strand text next.
- You may use the colorant if no allergic reactions occur. *
* NOTE: IF ANY BURNING, ITCHING, SWELLING OR IRRITATIONS APPEAR IN OR AROUND THE TEST AREA,
DO NOT CONTINUE WITH THE COLORING PROCESS.
In order to assess the selected tone and development time required to achieve it, simply carry out the following test:
- Take about one inch or 3 centimetres of hair
- Apply the mixture remaining from sensitivity test a few moments ago
- In most cases, rinse hair being tested after 20 minutes. In the case of strong or more resistant grey hair, leave for a
further 10 minutes
- When strand of hair reaches desired shade, take note of the total color development time. Discard any unused mixture
as this cannot be applied later
